FORCE

FORCE is a national non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. Our mission includes support, education, advocacy, awareness, and research specific to hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. FORCE was founded on the principle that no one should have to face hereditary breast and ovarian cancer alone. Being part of a family
with a history of breast and/or ovarian cancers can be frightening. Learning that one carries a genetic mutation, putting them at much higher risk of developing breast or ovarian cancer or struggling through diagnosis and treatment, can be devastating. FORCE New Mexico exists to provide continuous and gentle support to the high-risk community without judgment. The local FORCE outreach group’s primary focus is peer support. Monthly meetings are held the third Sunday of each month at Lovelace Women’s Hospital from 2-4 PM in Auditorium B. Our programs serve anyone with a BRCA 1 or 2 mutation or a family history of breast or ovarian cancer.
