Holland's Rose is an All-Volunteer organization dedicated to easing the financial burdens for people who must travel to Albuquerque for medical care by providing affordable lodging. Guests are provided affordable home-style lodging; private room & bath, fully-equipped kitchen & laundry, local phones & internet. Volunteers strive to meet the needs of people receiving various kinds of medical treatment; we especially embrace cancer patients who are alone. Through our network of volunteers, transportation to medical treatments and appointments can be arranged. Guests enjoy all the comforts of home and find emotional support from guests facing similar circumstances. Our all-volunteer staff has first-hand knowledge of what it means to hear "You’ve got cancer." Volunteers help families find their feet when the ground seems to have fallen out from under them. If there is a need, we organize to meet that need; no person will be left alone. With continued support from Rio Grande Diocese of the Episcopal Church, and the Church of the Holy Cross, Edgewood, New Mexico, cancer patients facing long- term treatment may be eligible for financial assistance for lodging….
